- As of April 2, 2025, most citizens of the European Union and other nationalities who wish to travel to the United Kingdom must present the Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA).
- Remember to request it well in advance, as it takes about 3 days to get a reply.
- You can find more information about the process and the nationalities to which it applies on the British Government website.
- The Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) is valid for two years from issue (or until the passport's expiry date if this is earlier than two years) and allows you to travel to the UK during that time for stays under 6 months.
- To apply, you will need to have a valid passport.
In cases where you require an eVisa (which means that an ETA is not required), we advise you to inform the UK Government about the documentation you will use to travel.
Please note that once approved, your authorization will be linked to the passport number used during the application. If you travel with a different passport, you will need to apply for approval again.
Please remember that it is the passenger's sole responsibility to be informed and carry the necessary documentation, so we advise you to check all the information in advance to avoid last-minute issues.
