The new Entry/Exit System of the European Union countries (EES), for nationals of third countries, applies from 12 October 2025.
This border control process is an automated IT tool that registers people from countries outside the European Union, as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland, when they travel to European territory for short stays.
For this reason, waiting times at passport control may be longer than usual at certain airports. We reccomend arriving at the airport well in advance to complete all procedures.
