Flight Credit

Your plans might change, you might have booked already but prefer to fly at a later date, or your flight might have been affected for some reason. In all of these cases, you can instantly get back the amount paid in the form of Flight Credit. 

This Flight Credit is like a virtual moneybox where you can keep the money you paid for your ticket and use it to book again with us in the future. You can use it to fly wherever you want, whenever you want, for yourself or for someone else. You can check the updated balance and validity period of your Flight Credit on our website.

 

Do you want to cancel your flight and get Flight Credit? These are your options:

You can cancel your booking free of charge and get Flight Credit if you chose the Fly Grande* bundle when you booked, or if you added the Flex Pack service to the rest of fares. The amount will be saved as Flight Credit and will be valid for 18 months from the date it is issued.

  • You can cancel it in the Manage your booking section on our website or app up to 48 hours before departure, or on this same page.
  • After a few minutes we'll send you an email with your Flight Credit confirmation to the same email address you used to book your flight.

If you haven't got your booking code ready, you can retrieve it by requesting the confirmation email again.

If you are unable to fly for a justified reason (illness, surgery, high-risk pregnancy or court summons), cancel your booking and get back the amount as Flight Credit, through our Customer Services Centre.

 

I have my credit, how do I use it?

Turn your credit into an amazing trip (for you or for someone special!).

Before we start: you need the email address you used when you booked and the booking code (e.g. VYABCD). If you don't remember it, please check the confirmation email you received when you booked or cancelled your flight.

1.1. Go to vueling.com or our app and select a new flight.

1.2. At the end of the process, on the payment page, you will see the Flight Credit section. Once you fill in the details, you will be able to see your current balance.

  • If the price of the booking is lower than your credit balance, the difference will be saved for future bookings.
  • If the total price of the booking is higher than your credit balance, you can pay the difference by card.

Also remember:

  • While you are booking your new flight you can add extras (bags, seats, etc.) and pay for all of it with Flight Credit. However, it is not possible to use Flight Credit to pay for extras that you add to a booking that has already been confirmed.
  • If you have several cancelled bookings, each booking will have its own Flight Credit and you won't be able to combine them to book a new flight.
  • If your booking or part of it was paid with Avios points, these will be refunded to your account so you can use them again for future bookings. Please note that, in view of the current exceptional situation, this process may take up to one week from when your booking is effectively cancelled.
  • It is not possible to cancel the flight of only one of the passengers or a single journey. Flight cancellation in exchange for Flight Credit is only valid for the entire booking.

 

Flight Credit Terms & Conditions

You can check when your Flight Credit expires directly on our website or app, or in the informative emails we send out periodically. You can use it to book any flight available until the Flight Credit expiry date. The Flight Credit can be used once or several times until it runs out. The Flight Credit is not personal or granted to a particular person and can therefore be used to make bookings for the recipient or another person. You can check the available credit balance when you make a new booking and reach the payment page. If there is not enough Flight Credit to cover the total price of a booking, the remaining amount must be paid by card. Valid for all fares and extra services booked. It can be used in conjunction with resident and large family discounts. If the price of the original booking, or part of it, was paid with a discount code, the discounted amount will not be refunded, which means that it will not be included in the Flight Credit. If the booking or part of it was paid with Avios points, these will be refunded to your Avios account. You cannot collect Avios points with bookings paid for with Flight Credit.
