How tier points work

Tier points are separate from Avios and are used solely to determine your tier within the programme.

Basic: 0 tier points
Smart: 200 tier points (or 3 flights)
Plus: 2,000 tier points
Premium: 4,000 tier points

How do tier points work?

Tier points are earned when you book flights marketed by Vueling and are added to your account once the flight has been taken.

Please note:

  • They are calculated based on the amount spent on the flight and included services (taxes excluded).

  • They are stored in your profile from 1 April to 31 March of the following year. Every 31 March your activity is reviewed and your tier for the next period is determined: whether you remain at the same tier or move to a lower one. On this date, your points are reset to 0.

  • If you accumulate the tier points required for the next tier, you will be upgraded within the following 48 hours, without waiting for the 31 March review.

  • Tier points cannot be used as a form of payment or transferred to another person.
