For safety reasons, if you are travelling with a wheelchair or mobility aid with a battery, the device must be checked to ensure it meets all requirements before being accepted on board.
This verification will be carried out at the airport, so it is recommended to bring all the necessary documentation to allow the following checks:
-
Type of device, brand and model
-
Weight (in kg) and dimensions of the device: length, height and width
-
Type of battery (and watt-hours for lithium batteries)
-
Information on how to disable circuits and isolate the battery to prevent it from being switched on accidentally during the flight
If the wheelchair or mobility aid does not meet the required conditions, its transport will have to be refused.
