Avios and how to use them

Avios are the currency of the programme. It's very easy to collect them and then use them to pay less or nothing for your flights. You can also use them to pay for any extras you add to your bookings: bags, seats, etc.

Most importantly:

  • You earn them when you book with Vueling (depending on your tier).
  • You can also earn them with our partners (hotels, car hire, Vueling Club eStore, credit cards, etc.).
  • They can be used as full or partial payment for flights and extras.
  • They are personal and non-transferable.
  • Avios never expire, unless you go more than 36 months without using or collecting any.
  • They'll appear in your account within 2 to 3 days after you've flown (as long as you haven't collected Avios with another programme).

How to collect Avios

With Vueling Club, there are three ways to collect Avios.

🛍️ With our partners

You can collect Avios in your everyday life with our partners: hotels, car hire, credit cards, etc. And with the more than 400 brands available in the Vueling Club eStore.

Keep in mind that Avios from non-airline partners can't be claimed retroactively if you didn't follow the process indicated at the time of purchase. If you have any questions, visit the partner's page and contact them directly if you have any queries or to claim missing Avios.

✈️ With your bookings on Vueling

Each time you book with Vueling, whether on the website or app, you'll earn Avios (except Basic tier members).

  • Smart: 3 Avios / €
  • Plus: 5 Avios / €
  • Premium: 7 Avios / €

IMPORTANT: Always remember to enter your Vueling Club number in your bookings to collect your Avios.

✈️ With other airlines

You can also collect Avios in your Vueling Club account by entering your Vueling Club number when booking with Iberia and other partner airlines. Check the details  of each partner airline.

 

How to use your Avios

You can use your Avios to pay for your flights with Vueling (for yourself or another person), as well as any extras you want to add: bags, seat selection, etc.

If you don't have enough Avios to pay for the entire booking or extras, don't worry: you can pay the rest with your preferred payment method.

✈️ Using Avios on a booking

  1. Log in with your email and password to the website or app.
  2. Search for a flight.
  3. On the payment page, you'll see your Avios balance and the discount you can use.

🧳 Using Avios to add extras

  1. Log in with your email and password to the website or app.
  2. Access your booking and add any extras you need (seats, bags, etc.).
  3. On the payment page, you'll see your Avios balance and the discount you can use.

Remember:

  • When you use Avios on a booking, you'll only earn Avios for the remaining amount you pay.
  • If you cancel a flight paid for with Avios, the refund will depend on the conditions of the bundle you purchased.

 

Why isn’t any Avios discount showing on the payment screen?

When this happens, we recommend that you check the following:

  1. Make sure you are correctly logged in with your Vueling Club username to make the booking or purchase extras.
  2. Remember, you need a minimum amount of Avios in order to spend them. The amount of Avios you can spend will also depend on the value of your purchase. In general, you can spend your Avios if you have at least 500, and if not, you can still continue to collect Avios for future bookings.
