Madrid Airport (MAD)

Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas airport, lies 12 km north-east of Madrid city centre. Vueling operates from Terminal 4 of this airport.

A free bus service runs between all terminals 24 hours a day.

How can you get around from the airport?
  • By taxi: There are taxi ranks outside all terminals. The journey to Madrid city centre takes 25 minutes.
  • By bus: A bus service links the airport to Madrid and other towns around the province (lines 200, 827 and 828), as well as more distant destinations such as Zaragoza, Barcelona, Burgos, Soria, León, Valladolid and many others.

    There's also an Express Bus service between the airport and Atocha train station in Madrid. The journey to the station takes 40 minutes.

  • By train: The train station is in T4 and links the airport to the city centre. The trains stop at Príncipe Pío, Pirámides, Delicias, Méndez Álvaro, Atocha, Recoletos, Nuevos Ministerios, Chamartín and Fuente de la Mora.
  • By underground: The underground makes stops at terminals 1, 2, 3 and 4 en route to the city centre (line 8). The final destination is Nuevos Ministerios, where it links up with other underground lines. The journey to this underground station takes 30 minutes.
